Kappa is a collection of vases in different sizes and executions by Mimmi Blomqvist for Kosta Boda. The series is mouth-blown into shape and is named after the bubble, or cap, that rises over the edge of the mold during manufacture. It is also this cap that has inspired the beautiful, billowing shape of the vases. The collection includes multiple styles, sizes and colors including a selection offered in circular glass produced from waste glass at Kosta Glassworks resulting in a unique coloration – shades from blue to green – for each object. Kappa was launched in 2021 and is both a tribute to the artisanal history of glass and designed for a sustainable future.
