Mino is hand-blown at Kosta Glassworks in Sweden and presents a base onto which glass balls are mounted before getting cut up into blossoming flowers. “I see these anemones as wild glass flowers or, for that matter, unruly curly hair”, says Bergström. “I take an interest in things that are thrown away, disposed of, disregarded, and belittled, like the chipped fragments in glass production. I thought I could create a minimalistic anemone by assembling such fragments. In fact, it resulted in a chaos of fragments, the genie was out of the bottle, like a graphic ball, crazy and wonderful”.
