Perfectly crafted cabinetry details are the heart of the Giselle project, available in both chair and armchair versions. In both designs, the armrest is an integrated part of the load-bearing frame, thanks to a complex and refined design where woodwork takes centre stage.
The manufacturing is so precise that the terminal portion of the armrest, where the hand rests, provides a satisfying tactile sensation, dictated by both materiality and ergonomics. The legs, tapering towards the floor, and the study of forms, at times protruding, at times enveloping, make this seating family a masterpiece of artisanal woodworking.
The peculiarity of the Giselle wooden dining armchair lies in the division between the seat portion and the backrest, the latter being wrapped and supported by the extension of the wooden armrest at the rear. By keeping these two elements separate, the seat cushion remains exceptionally wide and comfortable. The suspended backrest of this chair with armrests is also padded and ergonomic, designed with a gentle curvature that supports the back with flexible ease.
The Giselle Lounge version is a masterclass in lightness and technical skill. This low armchair with wooden armrests owes its charm to the apparent absence of support for the padded backrest. The generous cushions forming the seat and backrest appear to rest naturally and without a visible frame.
